Understanding of Handicaps
Each score is individually run against the AGS formula. Then the 10 best of 20
are used. But with under 20 scores, there are heavier weights to your better scores:
1 to 6 rounds (use best score ONLY)
7 to 8 (2)
9 to 10 (3)
11 to 12 (4)
13 to 14 (5)
15 to 16 (6)
17 (7)
18 (8)
19 (9)
20 (10)
Rounds 21 and older are not used in the calculation. However, with under 20
rounds in a golfer's history, it is reasonable to see little change in an AGS Handicap
until more rounds are posted.
